Museum of V.K. Arseniev
The well-known researcher of Primorsky region V.K.Arsenyev in 1902 - 1910 made the hardest, but brilliant on results of expedition in Ussuriiskaya taiga. He passed hundreds kilometers through deaf not known to people woods. Investigated tens rivers of Primorsky region. He studied folklore and traditional customs of the native populations, exactly udegeitsi, tazi, orochi and goldi. He discovered the ancient person stays and medieval monuments of times of the state Bohai and Chjurjeni. V.K.Arsenyev left rich scientific and a literary heritage.
On those expeditions he was helped by hunter - Gold Dersu Uzala who repeatedly saved the researcher’s life. In honor of these two remarkable people friendship the film of Japanese director with a world name Akira Kurosawa was devoted. With V.K. Arsenyev's name the one of the largest cities of Primorsky region is named, the center of the modern aviation industry which produces well-known helicopters K-2 (“Black sharks”). Also many streets of cities and settlements of Primorsky region are named in his honor.

Museum "Jenshen"
In taiga spurs of Sikhote Alin there is a settlement Starovarvarovka. Its inhabitants have mastered technics of artificial cultivation of the most valuable medicinal raw material - ginseng. A wild-growing ginseng is very rare relic plant. It grows only in three points of the Earth: in Primorsky region, Northern Korea and Manchuria. The plant lives about hundred years, and sometimes longer. It is a strong biostimulator and consequently it is named “a root of a life”. Slowly, on drops, ginseng concentrates curative force. Terms of its maturing and cycle of life are similar to the same terms at the person. In local folklore many legends, connected with a ginseng were kept. According to one of them: if you meet in taiga “root of life”, you will live happy long life. In Starovarvarovka the unique in the country museum «Jenshen», in which funds of three thousand exhibits are collected, is generated.
