It is based on July, 2, 1860. Today – the capital, the largest city of Primorsky region. The population is 850000 people. The area – over 600 sq. km. The twin cities are Juneau, San Diego, Tahoma (USA); Niigata, Akita, Hakodate (Japan), Pusan (South Korea), Dalian (China).
