Having arrived to our region, you can admire the rare (and even missed in others nooks of the planets) plants and animals. In rich woods of Ussuriiskaya taiga an original natural treasury is hidden. These are the true jungle where it is possible to find edible mushrooms and berries, herbs, «king» among which, certainly is, a ginseng. Here it is easily possible to meet a tiger, a sable and a lynx, a black Himalaya bear and the east - Asian leopard … A golden eagle, an erne divide, swans and pheasants, ducks and herons divide Primorsky region heavenly heights. Seaside weather can be named whimsical. It is explained that our territory is located on the border of continent and Pacific Ocean; monsoons dictate rules here. In the first half of summer, in the June - beginning of July, the rains and typhoons are quite traditional for Primorsky region. Since second half of July and during all the rest of summer warm and solar weather is usually established. The swimming season usually lasts up to the end of September.
The seaside autumn usually brings the outrage of paints and light. And winters in Primorsky region are more often less snowy, and the only thing that can sadden the mood in this season is often blizzards and ice-crusted ground. The first person has appeared in territory of Primorsky region more 30000 years ago. According to ancient sources, the coast of the future Primorsky region in olden time has been densely populated. The most known existing here people are medieval Tungus state-kingdom Bohai and Chjurjeni States. However, after the Mongolian invasion which has destroyed ancient civilizations, Primorsky region for long time remained the wild and forgotten territory.
Russian developing of southeast coast of Russia began only in the middle of XVII century. In 1851 Europe for the first time knew about the Golden Horn bay, and a year after the world knew Peter the Great bay. After the post Vladivostok founding (on June, 20, 1860) and its recognizing as a city (on June, 7, 1880) the intensive settling of Primorsky region by immigrants from various nooks of Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Baltics, Poland, Finland began. Citizens of the adjoining states (Korea and China) actively took part in development of the new grounds. Resettlement has been stopped in 1917 with October revolution. After an establishment of the Soviet authority in Primorsky region the authority repeatedly varied, military landings of Japanese, American and English armies landed.
